Built Heritage Investment Scheme

What it is: Grants from €2,500 to €50,000 for restoration works, including roof and wall repairs, and window and door upgrades on protected structures.

Who qualifies: Owners/custodians of qualifying protected structures or buildings in Architectural Conservation Areas. Applications reopen in July 2026, with €708,000 allocated to Cork projects this year.

Historic Structures Fund

What it is: Grants from €50,000 to €200,000 for larger conservation projects, with priority given to external envelope works such as roofs, stonework, and brickwork.

Who qualifies: Owners and approved custodians of eligible historic structures with projects that meet fund criteria. This scheme is more competitive but offers higher potential funding.

What it is: Funding up to €350,000 for projects that address town-centre dereliction and support heritage-led regeneration.

Who qualifies: Eligible projects in participating historic town centres, usually with local authority involvement. A 20% match contribution is required.

Lime Insulated Systems For Large Building

We carried out a large-scale renovation and extension of the Tusla building in Limerick, with a strong focus on sustainability and energy efficiency. Internally, we applied Diathonite insulating plaster — a natural blend of lime, cork, and clay — to insulate the walls. This breathable solution enhances thermal performance while promoting a healthy indoor environment throughout the expanded facility.
